Aaron Taylor has over 24 years of experience in the Records and Information Management and E-Discovery industry as both senior consultant and direct corporate manager. His work currently focuses on all aspects of E-Discovery and Legal Hold policy and program development.

Aaron has established his own consulting business, GreenLight Discovery LLC d/b/a GreenLight Consulting. In this capacity, he writes blog entries at www.greenlightdiscovery.com , with topics of interest in the E-Discovery field including e-discovery court rulings and best practices, and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure (FRCP) actions.  Aaron also reviews discussions on proportionality, privacy, policy and relevance among other topics, and shared information from other E-Discovery industry leaders. Aaron has worked directly with attorneys in creating, issuing and managing legal holds throughout litigation, regulatory or audit proceedings. His efforts include developing Legal Hold policies and programs that embrace the most current processes and concepts matched to the client’s litigation needs and capabilities. One unique program aspect is focusing on certification processes to ensure that attorneys maintain legal holds to meet judicial expectations.

Aaron worked for many years as a Records Management consultant, in concert with contemporaries to provide RIM solutions (now IG) for clients in a wide and diverse set of business industries, nationally and internationally. In concert with other consultants, Aaron developed retention schedules for an international investment management company in the US, Great Britain and Hong Kong.  He also was part of a large team that developed a global records structure and file plan that was integrated into a global SharePoint site for a top-three-tier energy company.

In addition, Aaron has worked directly with a law firm in developing records and email processes, and supporting legal hold and e-discovery management activities. Aaron also served as the intermediary and facilitator for a document management software company, guiding clients to configure software applications to meet their specific records management requirements.

Aaron has been involved with ARMA and AIIM organizations to keep abreast of latest trends in the records management and E-Discovery industry.
